This year’s edition of the Spring Sports Pep Rally was memorable for numerous reasons. To start, Pine Crest students were introduced to new pep rally games that brought a fresh, creative feel to the event. Notably, two new games were introduced. First, students participated in a game of Simon Says with Mr. Walters and Mr. Hannigan. Both administrators did their best to stump the students with quick commands. Next, two members from each grade competed in a relay-style competition to instill pride among their classes, using many of the spring sports as the games. Students had to toss a ball using a lacrosse stick, serve a volleyball, and more
Beyond this, several other moments left a lasting impression on the student body. At the forefront of the assembly were many seniors walking out to celebrate successful seasons with their teams. Seniors across Men’s and Women’s Tennis, Golf, Lacrosse, and Softball have mentored their teams to dominant, winning-record seasons, with each finishing well above .500. The other spring athletics programs, including baseball, tennis, softball, boys’ and girls’ lacrosse, track, boys’ volleyball, boys’ weightlifting, crew, and sailing, have also represented Pine Crest well with impressive wins across their respective events.
Apart from athletics, the Steering Committee made its mark through a sort of “passing of the torch” from Senior committee heads to Junior heads as senior graduation draws near, a display of legacy and leadership.
Overall, the Spring Athletics Pep Rally was filled with entertaining music, games, and genuine demonstrations of pride for our Athletics Department. Rally behind our Panthers as they close out their Spring seasons and take a moment to celebrate the seniors who have helped build the programs into what they are today.
