Harry Styles returned to South Florida at FLA Arena on October 8th for “Love on Tour.” The singer-songwriter has been touring his sophomore album, Fine Line, since this September after needing to postpone the tour for two years due to Covid-19.

Indie-rock artist Jenny Lewis opened for Styles by performing her set before he came on stage. To kick off the concert, Harry Styles performed his hit single, “Golden.” Along with his songs from Fine Line, he also performed popular songs such as “Only Angel” and “Kiwi”, along with his debut single, “Sign of the Times” from his 2017 self-titled album. He also sent fans into a frenzy by performing One Direction’s 2011 hit song, “What Makes You Beautiful.”

Styles wore his signature look: a red collared shirt, high-waisted bell-bottom pants, and suspenders. His band also wore matching white suits. Inspired by the artist, many fans wore 70s outfits, boots, and colorful boas. Outside of the arena, feathers that had fallen from boas flooded the ground.

Fans, which included many Pine Crest students, had a wonderful time at the concert.

Ashley Aronson ’22 stated, “The Harry Styles concert was not just an event or a concert, it was a fashion show. About a month ahead of time, I began to plan out and create my and my friend Allie’s outfits, crafting every detail from the final rhinestone to the feather boas. it was all worth it, when we arrived, everyone was dressed to impress, they weren’t here for any concert, they were here for Harry Styles! He and his band were astonishing, playing my favorite songs right in front of me, and to say it was one of the best nights of my life would be an understatement.”

In order to attend the concert fans had to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within 48 hours before the show. Before the concert began the English singer urged fans to keep their masks on throughout the show.

After years of anticipation, fans were finally able to see Harry Styles’ “Love on Tour” in south Florida.
