Everybody loves the sights and feelings of Autumn-the way the sunlight reflects off the towering trees, how the colorful falling leaves, crisp air, and smiles warm our hearts…but what about the sounds of the season? Autumn, my favorite season, is the perfect time for embracing the beauty of your favorite songs and artists. The mornings are brighter and the nights are longer, so make sure you grab a warm blanket and cup of coffee and listen to the acoustic sounds of fall!
This time of year could be somewhat stressful. Trying to find enough time in the day to accomplish all that we strive for sometimes isn’t the easiest task. Yet, we all just have to remember that everything is temporary. When life seems like it’s moving too fast, sometimes one of the only remedies is just to sit, listen to music, and think. It is so beneficial to take just a little time out of our extremely busy days to unwind and reconcile with our minds. One of the best ways to find peace within ourselves and within the world is to find the songs that touch your heart and speak to your soul.
If you ever have a chance to listen to some of the sounds of fall, I recommend artists such as Passenger (Whispers), The Paper Kites (Woodland), The Head and the Heart, Ben Howard, or Sufjan Stevens. Sufjan Stevens’ new album, Carrie & Lowell, is really quite interesting. It truly highlights the beauty of his voice and sound, but is also a perfect album for the fall. Autumn is a truly wonderful time. Don’t forget to stop and acknowledge the beauty around you once in a while. It’s worth it, I promise!
