PC Baseball Game at the Marlins Stadium
During Spring Break, the Pine Crest Baseball team had a once in a lifetime experience. On April 12th, they faced off against Coral Springs Charter at the Miami Marlins’ stadium.
When they got there, the Panthers explored the field for nearly an hour, walking around the perimeter of the field, looking around the bullpen, and making themselves familiar with the dugout. The team appreciated how incredible this opportunity was, and made sure to get what they could out of it.
Senior captain, Antonio Correa ‘21, told Paw Print that “It was a once in a lifetime experience to play on an MLB field… It’s crazy knowing that you’re playing on the same field as some of the best baseball players in the world.”
Unfortunately, the team was unable to leave the field victorious, losing 6-0 to Coral Springs Charter. This loss didn’t faze the Panthers, however, as they headed to a team dinner after the game, and celebrated the fact that they just played a game in an MLB ballpark, something most baseball fans and players alike could only dream of.
Paw Print wishes the Pine Crest Baseball team the best in their remaining games this season, and in all of their future endeavors.
