When more than one hundred Pine Crest Seniors arrived at Grad Bash at Orlando’s Universal Studios, they expected to have a great time and were certainly not disappointed.
Grad Bash is a PC tradition; as each Senior class takes a trip to Universal Studios in Orlando toward the end of the year. What makes the experience even more unique is that Grad Bash is not only a PC tradition, but also a high school tradition. Seniors from different schools across the state of Florida and even from out of state experience a night to remember.
Senior Ravi Bakhai stated, “Grad Bash was really a great way to wrap up our senior year. We got to enjoy one of our last days with our entire class and close friends. It is one of those experiences we will remember years from now.”
Even though the parks were only open to soon to be high school graduates, the rides were not without their excessive lines. Many PC Seniors tried to make the most of their “in-line experiences” by talking to other high school seniors and playing an excessive amount of name games to help pass the time. For the Seniors, what was really a three hour line only felt like one hour.
Some Seniors prepared for Grad Bash by planning out their movements in the park in order to make the most of the seven hour event. Students enjoyed adventurous roller-coasters such as the Rip Ride Rocket and the Hulk as well as attractions that left a mark of water or two (to say the least) like Jurassic Park and Dudley Do Right’s Rip Saw Falls. In addition to the normal Universal attractions, there was a Trey Songz concert during what turned out to be an eventful and memorable night.
All in all, Grad Bash allowed the Class of 2015 to come together as a whole and with the broader group of graduating seniors in the state of Florida. The class celebrated the closing of its final year together as a unit. After years of making great memories and battling through the difficulties of high school, the Class of 2015 had one final hurrah.
