For most, this past year has been a challenging and difficult time. Our society had to cope with many losses and changes. In times like these, it is hard to see the positivity in everyday life. With every challenge comes a new opportunity and a chance to make that hardship less difficult. It is important to look on the bright side and focus on the good happening all around us.

Good news is happening all around the world, and people are coming together more than ever. In hope to help their community, a Texas restaurant has prepared and sent out 500 plus meals during the recent storm that caused power outages and damage to many homes. Owners, Ari and Blinera Isufag, of Bella Italia Ristorante sent out hot meals to families who are struggling to keep their house warm, and prepare hot meals for themselves. The two were proud to help and make people feel appreciated during the difficult times they are dealing with.

Recently, GameStop stocks have been rising due to a combination of a new CEO bringing the possibility of new profits to the company, coupled with the public’s idea to do a complete 180 on modern-day stocks. Hunter Kahn, a 20 year old college student attending Cornell University, has donated close to $2,000 worth of Nintendo consoles and games to a children’s hospital after earning $30,000 off of the stock. Kahn felt that it was important to make the children feel appreciated. Khan was very happy to be able to help these kids, and give them a more positive outlook on their situation.

Although life can feel slow and tough for some, there is always something you can do to make other people feel appreciated and loved. Whether it is helping someone in need, or just saying how much you appreciate your loved ones, there is always a way to bring light to dark situations.
