Ms. Anderson organized a large-scale donation project for students hoping to help the Bahamas in the wake of Hurricane Dorian.

After Hurricane Dorian devastated the Bahamas, Pine Crest School has encouraged everyone to lend a helping hand to bring in food and supplies in order to help our Bahamian neighbors. The Upper School can help the relief effort by bringing in materials by September 11, 2019.

These materials include:

  • First Aid kits
  • Hygiene kits
  • Mosquito repellent
  • Portable water filtration devices
  • Canned meat
  • Canned milk

If you missed this deadline, don’t worry, there are still many ways to help out. There are many organizations in South Florida that will accept supplies and food to send to the Bahamas. The American Red Cross will also accept monetary donations to help various islands in and around the Bahamas. GlobalGiving and Direct Relief are two organizations that will appreciate and put your contributions to good use. Please do your part to mitigate the suffering of the Bahamian people!
