How to Make Fall Even Sweeter with Apple Crisp Bites

Apple crisp bites just about ready to be put in the oven.

As fall begins in South Florida, the air does not begin to chill nor do the leaves turn color.  However, there is still a way to incorporate the seasonal spirit of fall into your home. Be sure to watch the video and read the directions to get the best results. Enjoy!

Apple Crisp Bites (yield: makes 12 in a mini muffin pan)

Ingredients:

1 cup graham cracker crumbs

½ cup (1 stick) of melted butter

1 tbsp powdered sugar

1 large, or 2 small peeled and chopped apples (any type)

3 tbsp sugar

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp flour

¼ tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350°F
  2. Spray a mini muffin pan with cooking spray
  3. In a medium sized bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, butter, and powdered sugar
  4. Fill about half of each muffin cup with graham cracker mixture
  5. With a spoon, press the graham cracker mixture to the sides and bottom of the muffin cup to form a cup-like shape
  6. Bake graham cracker mixture for 5 minutes on 350°F
  7. As the graham cracker shells bake a cool, mix the apples, sugar, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a large bowl
  8. Once mixed, pour the apple mixture into a baking dish and bake for 15 minutes on 375°F
  9. Take the apple mixture out of the oven once it is done baking, then some of the apple mixture in each of the muffin cups
  10. Bake the muffin cups with the apples in them for 5 minutes on 350°F
  11. Remove from oven once baking is complete, and allow the apple crisp bites to cool
  12. Enjoy!
