AP Art Class

It is that time of year again, the time we pack up our bags full of pencils and binders and head back to school. For artists, this time comes hand in hand with the introduction of new innovative art projects. Currently in the hotspot is the Senior Seminar quilt endeavor, where each student takes a Pine Crest t-shirt, sews it to other t-shirts, and eventually all the individual pieces will join to create a quilt exuding Pine Crest spirit. And the Senior Seminar students aren’t the only ones twisting it up this year; the AP 2D class is drawing Multi-Image still-life designs, which Mrs. Smith is (of course) ecstatic about. “The results from the AP 2D multi-image still-life design were most compelling in that there was evidence of movement throughout the images when displayed as a unit.” Mrs. Smith also exemplified her trust in her student’s capabilities when asked about the AP Studio Art Class; “ I’m impressed with the quality that my first year AP Drawing students have exhibited in their first assignments for the semester.” I think we can all say we’re excited to see the results of the AP art projects at the end of the month.
