Halloween 2025 was filled with spooky surprises and eye-catching costumes. From group costumes to do-it-yourself costumes, Halloween is a time for Upper School students to showcase their creativity.
Yearly, the senior tradition of being able to wear costumes to school is a fan favorite. Students dressed up as characters from their favorite childhood stories, teachers, and so much more.
“I feel like everyone was very creative. I really liked Mr. Schwartz’s costume. He was Ken from Barbie, and he was wearing an ‘ab’ shirt. Everyone thought it was pretty funny,” Lindsay Noyola ’26 said.

This Halloween season, some particularly trendy costumes were Monster High Dolls, various animals, and different celebrities. Do-it-yourself (DIY) costumes were also popular. If students cannot find what they want online or in stores, many make their own costumes. Specifically, Nicole (Nika) Norinsberg ’27 took action by thrifting and sewing her costumes.
“I make my own costume because I can be more creative, and I have a lot more options when it’s up to me. It’s also far less expensive when I make my costumes,” Nika said.
Overall, Halloween is a time when spirit and creativity spread. The Upper School’s Halloween celebration was a success, and students are already excited to see what creativity next year will bring.
