From themed dress-down days to a roaring pep rally, Pine Crest’s Homecoming Week was filled with spirit, energy, and creativity—all thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Steering Committee led by Dylan Chavez ‘26 and Nicole Banks ‘26. 

As heads of the committee, Dylan and Nicole spent weeks planning, organizing, and perfecting every detail of the events that would bring the student body together and create lasting memories. 

“It was a group effort, and we wanted to make it something that everyone could enjoy. We also wanted to incorporate some traditional elements and introduce new ideas,” said Dylan ‘26, reflecting on the rewarding yet challenging process of turning ideas into reality. “It was really hard to ensure that the school approved everything, but the students also found it fun. We overcame it by having lots of meetings with Mrs. Rashbaum and changing ideas to get them approved while still keeping them fun,” she added.

The week included everything from gym decorations for the pep rally to the highly anticipated flag football game, where junior and senior girls faced off while the boys performed a crowd-favorite cheer routine. The Steering Committee also oversaw Homecoming court, kicking things off with a creative reality show-inspired video—an idea by Nicole Banks ‘26. 

“I wanted to make the court presentation more fun, so I created a video inspired by Love Island, and everyone seemed to love it,” she said. 

The week wrapped up with the Lip Sync Battle, a highlight that showcased student talent, humor, and school pride.

“Homecoming Week is a great way to see the school outside of academics. It gives us all a break from a rigorous schedule and allows us to have fun,” said Nicole ‘26, describing her favorite part of the week.

As the decorations came down and the music faded, one thing was clear: Homecoming Week was more than just a series of events. It was a true celebration of school pride, teamwork, and Panther spirit.
