Homecoming Week Day 1
Homecoming is back!
Monday, October 11th, was Disney-themed. Seniors took inspiration from Lilo and Stitch to dress in their tropical clothing. Juniors based their out-of-this-world themed outfits on Wall-E. Sophomores unleashed their inner explorer through the Lion King and freshmen took inspiration from Frozen.
PCTV broadcasted the first of three food games: the pie-eating contest. Freshmen Yash Gupta, sophomore Aidan Chapez, junior Whit Hudson, and senior Kelly Dunne competed to eat the most amount of pie in the allotted time. When time ran out, juniors took the victory!
PCTV also announced a new spirit point activity: advisory door decorating activity.
The 22nd annual Lip Sync battle was also broadcasted for the juniors, sophomores, and freshmen to their advisories while the seniors enjoyed the show from Stacy Auditorium. The judges this year were Mr. Spitzig, Ms. Gordenior, Mr. Schwartz, Dr. Turnbull, and Ms. Ganden. First, the freshman performed to “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley and earned 4’s and 5’s from the judges. Sophomores battled to the song “Dancing Queen” by Abba, beating the Freshman just barely, with an average of 5s and 6s. The Juniors, dressed in their Spiderman and Luigi costumes, lip synced to the Twisted Sister song “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and earned 6s and 7s. Lastly, Daniel Rutstein and Mary Beighley performed “Baby” by Justin Bieber for the seniors earning a perfect score of 10s across the board.
