One of Pine Crest’s greatest attributes is its wide variety of clubs. Last Friday at the Winter Carnival Club Fair, students were able to get a little taste of some of these clubs. Each club promoted themselves with food, art, t-shirts, games, and more. There was face painting sponsored by the art club, hennas at the Indian club table, manicures from the Spanish club, and piñatas at the Kiva stand. It was a great opportunity for students to interact with club leaders and find out more about certain clubs while having an enjoyable experience.
I would like to see all of the clubs participate next year, because the few clubs that made an effort to advertise themselves did enhance the fair overall. Next year, I think that with a bit more organization and preparation, the fair could be an even larger, more exciting event.
Sophomore Alexandra stated that she would have wanted to see more participation from different clubs. “I enjoyed the fair, and think that it is a great way for clubs to promote and publicize themselves with entertaining activities. If more clubs take part in the event in years to come, the fair could be really successful.”
