On Friday, October 17, the Pine Crest Varsity Football team took the field at the FAU Stadium in an anticipated Homecoming matchup against Lake Highland Prep. Despite a valiant effort, especially through various injuries, our Panthers ended up losing 10-20 against a formidable opponent in Lake Highland Prep. However, this did not stop our team from having its shining moments.
Quarterback Zach Moss ‘26 was able to pass for 111 yards as well as score a fourth-quarter touchdown to move the Panthers closer to Lake Highland. Ryan Kelly Del Valle ‘26 and Lincoln Hall ‘28 also contributed heavily with receiving yards in the double digits. On the defensive end, Jacob Lobis ‘26 and Xavier Goin ‘27 led the team in total tackles with nine and eight, respectively. Through adversity, these players were persevering examples for the team and still put up great numbers.
All in all, this year’s Homecoming Football game was well-fought, entertaining, and exciting. With so many Panthers’ fans in the stadium Friday night, it made for not only a great game but also a memorable night to be shared with the wonderful Pine Crest community. Go Panthers!
