Homecoming: Monday, Day 1
As Homecoming is approaching, the Pine Crest community eagerly anticipates all the exciting activities. The students look forward to the week filled with games, dress-down days, pep rallies, and the big football game.
Dressing up has been a fun way to get involved in the school community and show school spirit over the years. Stevie McCabe, ’24, said, “Dressing up for homecoming week is extremely fun and you are able to show your school spirit.” Dress-down days consist of wearing your class colors as well as the school colors of green and white on football game day.
Playing games during Homecoming week is a great way to represent your class and get to know people from other grades as well. Some games during Homecoming week include family feud, the flag football game and dances, as well as musical chairs and other activities at the pep rally. Each grade picks a few volunteers to participate in these games; whoever wins gains spirit points for their class.
The highlight for many is the annual pep rally held at the end of the week. The pep rally gets the entire Pine Crest community excited for the football game hosted later that evening at FAU. The varsity cheerleaders perform their routine and the band plays for the school. There are also more chances to earn spirit points when additional games between the grades are played.
This Homecoming is going to be the most memorable week, as the Pine Crest Community shows their school spirit and panther pride!
