Best Dressed at the 2021 Golden Globe Awards

On February 28th, the Golden Globe Awards were presented and many stars showed off their iconic fashion styles. The talented actors and actresses who were being honored for their roles in this year’s best performances competed in categories like best motion picture, best actor, and best actress. Each of these categories were separated into “drama” and “comedy or musical” divisions. The stars did not disappoint the fashion watchers and were dressed to impress at this year’s ceremony. Here are the top five dresses worn at the 2021 Golden Globe Awards.

Satchel Lee
First, Satchel Lee wore an iconic custom Gucci dress with cutouts around the neck and leg. To make this outfit pop, crystals were added to the entire dress. She paired this stunning outfit with a pair of black Gucci heels. Lastly, for her hair and makeup, she had a soft glamourous look and a cute updo.

Lee said, “I feel stunning and most importantly, I feel like myself.”

Eiza Gonzalez
Next, Eiza Gonzalez’s inspired look made everyone’s jaw drop. Her dress was made by Versace and her shoes were from Alexandre Birman. The tights and pearls pulled this chic and vintage look together. She went with soft glamorous makeup and a pop of color on the lip. For her hair, she was inspired to go with a “wet hair look.”

Angala Bassett
Angala Bassett wore a beautiful mauve purple dress by Dolce & Gabbana with a thigh-high slit. To make the dress stand out, purple feathers were added to the slit of the dress and the neckline. She wore black block heels to pull the look together. Additionally, her gorgeous earrings and rings were by Graziela. For hair and makeup, she wore a slick braid and a purple smokey eye to match the dress.

Kaley Cuoco
Kaley Cuoco’s princess wonderland dress was one of the highlights of the awards. She wore a tulle embroidered Oscar de la Renta ball gown with Harry Winston earrings and rings. On the dress, there were intricate crystal designs flowing all the way  from the top to the bottom. To top it off, she rocked her blonde hair with light curls flowing through.

Cynthia Erivo
Lastly, Cynthia Erivo’s neon dress was a very unique piece and was never seen before. She wore an A-line tea-length neon green Valentino Haute Couture dress. For accessories, she added white elbow-length gloves, sky-high metallic silver platforms, and jewels by Wempe and Maria Tash. For the makeup, she wore a purple-nude smokey eye.

Each of these looks made it to the top 20’s on Vogue, Instagram, Facebook, and other fashion platforms. Even though the pandemic restricted the actresses in some ways, they still made the best of the evening with their stunning looks in their outfits. These dresses were just some of the top highlights of the night, but all the stars rocked their fashionable looks.
