The Golden Globe Awards ushered in the first red carpet event of the decade, and it did not fail to astonish everyone with new and memorable fashion. Actors and actresses dazzled in creations from the world’s leading designers. From eye-catching gowns to stunning suits, the looks of the night were unforgettable. 

Jennifer Lopez, always inspiring the world with new and glamorous looks, rocked a strapless Valentino gown along with a white skirt and an enormous green and gold bow. Her accessories included an emerald jewel necklace and matching earrings by Harry Winston. However, fans joke that she looks as if she just walked out of a Christmas scene, turning her into a meme sensation. Either way, she truly was a gift to look at. 

Saoirse Ronan, nominated for best actress for her role in Little Women, stole the spotlight with her dazzling Celine gown. Complete with its cowl neck and spaghetti straps, the shiny gown was backless and had a long slit running down her right leg. Her stunning look was completed with silver jewelry and heels. 

As for the men, Billy Porter was the center of attention once again with his one of a kind look for the evening. He stole the show with his all white design meant to represent peace and hope. He awed the crowd with his all white tuxedo, complete with huge removable feather wings. To top it off, he wore Jimmy Choo boots and Tiffany & Co. jewelry. 

The Golden Globes is the first of many fashion events of the year, and the world awaits what the red carpet will bring next.
