Fans Ecstatic Over New Beyoncé and Jay-Z Tour
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have recently dropped hints that they will be doing an ‘On the Run II’ tour, and fans are more than ecstatic. Both singers had a successful joint run of their first ‘On the Run’ tour in 2014, as the duo grossed upwards of $100 million dollars in only four months of touring.
Beyoncé left a clue on her facebook about the tour and information even briefly appeared on Ticketmaster. On March 12th, Beyoncé and Jay-Z formally announced that they will be touring together during the summer. The power couple will start the tour off in the United Kingdom and will continue touring through 15 cities in Europe. They will then move to the United States, where they have 21 tour dates set. Tickets officially went on sale to the general public on March 19th.
Both artists have been engaged in their solo careers for a while as they participated in their own individual tours: Beyoncé’s Lemonade and Jay-Z’s 4:44. They both received Grammy nominations for their solo albums, but have now decided to make more music together.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s popularity rings in Pine Crest too, as students were overjoyed by this announcement.
Freshman Suttyn Simon shared her thoughts on this celebrity duo’s new tour: “It is pretty awesome that two amazing and successful artists can come together and make music, opening their audience to different kinds of fans.”
This was a very anticipated announcement for many passionate fans of the couple, and it will lead to a very exciting summer for concert-goers.
