You blissfully dance down the very busy New York streets to the tune of your favorite Dj’s bumping live beats with your closest friends as your eyes take in a burst of color from designer shop windows and celebrities wait for you to come in and share a cocktail… this must be a dream right? “Fashion’s Night Out” (FNO), hosted by none other than Anna Wintour herself, is the fashion party to top all fashion parties. The best part? Everyone’s invited. In New York, the idea is for designers, celebrities, models, and Vogue editors to show up to the stores, share cocktails, appetizers, and clothes from the upcoming fall season. This citywide block party is intended to remind everyone of the kind of fun, felicity, and freedom that fashion and shopping can bring. After all, they don’t call it retail therapy for nothing. Considering the recent economic downturn, the fashion industry needs as much help as it can get, and luckily, they have all the star power to back them up. If people don’t shop, other people lose jobs; it’s as simple as that.  The block party brings in the hottest celebrities, models, musicians, and fashion icons of the moment.  FNO celebrated their 3rd year, and, like every previous year, it brought out some of the best of the moment such as Nicki Minaj, Leighton Meester, Rachel Bilson, Justin Bieber, Gwenyth Paltrow, Lea Michelle, and the list goes on and on.
