Celebrity baby names have become a recent source of controversy as more and more celebrities are choosing unique names for their children.

Perhaps no one has a more creative list for their newborns than celebrities. As lovers of the spotlight, singers ranging from Beyonce to Beck are giving their children quirky names.  It is no secret that celebrities are the captains of pop-culture, and if they name their daughter or son something offbeat, it most likely will become trendy. Remember when you first heard Kim and Kanye named their daughter North? Astonished, at first (what is she, a compass rose?). But once you saw her tiny Yeezy’s on her little feet, suddenly the name North wasn’t so bad. Here are 15 more celebrity baby names that may–or may not–catch on.

1.Apple [Gwenyth Paltrow & Chris Martin]

Leave it to the founder of GOOP to name her daughter after a forbidden apple. Chris, where were you and your incredible lyric abilities?

2. Blue Ivy [Beyonce & Jay-Z]

No matter what they could have named her, she will still be cooler than all of us.

3. Chicago West [Kim Kardashian & Kanye West]

Chicago used to be famous for being the windy city. But if your dad is Yeezus, then who cares what people think?

4. Elsie Otter [Zooey Deschanel & Jason Penchenik]

Like the role she plays as Jessica Day in the show New Girl, Zooey’s pick was cute and quirky.

5. Dusty Rose [Adam Levine & Behati Prinsloo]

The last time Dusty was popular for a girl’s name was around 1976. It’s 2018, and Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo would beg to differ.

6. Future Zahir [Ciara & Future]

Though Ciara and Future’s relationship turned sour, their son’s name is surprisingly fresh.

7. Esmeralda Amada [Ryan Gosling & Eva Mendes]

Originally, the name of a French Roma girl in Victor Hugo’s 1831 novel the Hunchback of Notre Dame, Gosling and Mendes gracefully brought the name back into the 21st century.

8. Rocket Ayer [Pharrell Williams & Helen Lasichanh]

Being the music guru that he is, the choice for the first name rocket derives from non-other than Elton John’s classic hit “Rocket Man.”

9. Apollo Bowie Flynn [Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale]

Truly out of this world. Since Gwen and Pharrell are judges on The Voice, maybe their kids perform a space-themed song?

10. Shiloh, Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Knox and Vivienne [Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie]

This list would be incomplete without Brangelina’s offspring. Though they are no longer a couple, their children and their unusual names will always be remembered.

11. Bluebell Madonna [Geri Halliwell (aka Ginger Spice) & Christian Horner]

Always one to shake things up, Geri combined an innocent flower with a pop-star legend for her baby spice.

12. Tallulah, Scout and Rumer [Demi Moore & Bruce Willis]

Demi Moore and Bruce Willis looked their favorite fictional characters for their children’s names, with Scout after to Kill a Mockingbird and Rumer after the British author Rumer Godden.

13. Kal-El [Nicolas Cage & Alice Kim]

Cage’s inspiration came from Superman’s original name on planet Krypton, Kal-El. Surely for Halloween he won’t have to dress up as a superhero; he already is named after one.

14. Cosimo Henri [Beck & Marissa Ribisi]

Most parents tell their kids to shoot for the stars. Beck’s kid shoots for the cosmos.

15. Moon Unit, Dweezil and Diva Muffin [Frank & Gail Zappa]

Three names, one word: legendary.
